Mun-H-Center Celebrates 30 years!
It has now been 30 years since the ribbon was cut and our shared journey at Mun-H-Center began. Over the years, we have met more than 6,000 individuals with rare health conditions and compiled over 100 diagnostic descriptions. With all this experience behind us, we continue our work toward more equitable healthcare for all.
– Being part of Mun-H-Center’s development has been an incredible experience! Over the years, we’ve presented and participated in conferences both nationally and internationally, carried out educational initiatives, and taken part in numerous projects. All of it to highlight the importance of good oral health and orofacial function," says dental hygienist Anette Carlsson, who has been with MHC since the very beginning.
As part of MHC’s national mission, we are committed to spreading knowledge about rare health conditions related to oral health. This year, we are taking a significant step forward in that mission by launching a national quality registry. In this registry, relatives, healthcare providers, and researchers will be able to access data from our examinations. Our goal is to continue sharing knowledge and make our data available to a wider audience.
Mun-H-Center is looking ahead, and we know that our expertise in clinical examinations and our own research can contribute to genetic research on inherited rare conditions. We believe it is essential that the insights we gain from the mouth are given greater significance throughout the Swedish healthcare system. For us, this is a natural part of creating more equitable care for everyone.
It is crucial that more patients receive a causal diagnosis, and this is a mission we are both willing and able to support.
